Pine Tools Box Storage 1940s Trunk Crate

Vintage Pine tools box storage, made from solid Pine, with nice industrial metal work detailing on the hinges. The box has old news paper on the inside, it's torn and worn but we have layered some PVA glue and water onto this to secure it in place, some of it makes an interesting read. The box is unusual because the bottom half has been made with dovetail joints, then the top half is pinned, which suggests it was added to at a later date to make it double the size. We have added an old red hinge stopper to keep the lid from falling back.

The box has been given a light sand and a fresh coat of wax, ready for use.
