Beautiful bentwood cane chair, Mid Century original, dating from around the 1930s- 60s

This chair has lovely clean lines and is a very desirable Modernist seat designed by Joseph Hoffmann

The cane is in excellent condition and the chair is made to a very high standard.

We have removed any marks and re-finished the frame with a clear oil.

The chair is stamped made in Poland, so this confirms the chair as an early model manufactured by Thonet.

The chair is overall in good condition, is has a minor fracture to an arm ( please see photo) but it is very strong and has no movement so Its is a superficial crack.
