Industrial 1950s Vintage Mid Century Bureau

A rare find, an Industrial metal bureau. It was in quite the sate when it arrived to us, so we have made it into a functional characterful piece.
It has had a new plinth and internal wooden structure within the base to make it secure and functional. There are still signs of rusting on the rear. The drawers all move in and out freely and the folding storage compartment works well.

It is a rare item, probably used in a workshop environment in it's previous life. The colour is gorgeous, we have lightly restored the whole bureau, and lacquered to prevent further ware and patina. It is smooth and clean to the touch, ready for home use.

This would also make a fabulous window display item as its so striking.
