Terms & Conditions of Sale

General

All sales are subject to the following trading terms – these terms and conditions do not affect the consumers’ statutory rights. We guarantee that the goods that we supply will be to the correct specification as advertised on our website, however we are unable to guarantee precise compatibility or suitability for the customers particular purpose. It is the responsibility of the customer to check this prior to placing an order. We reserve the right to accept or reject any order for any reason whatsoever. No order will be considered binding unless and until it is accepted by us. The goods remain on our premises and are the property of Magpies-Vintage until a payment has been made in full.

Prices & Carriage

All prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling (GBP) Payment terms (including carriage and packing) are to be made by debit card, credit card or PayPal. If you collect in person pounds sterling can be accepted prior to pre arrangement. The price shown for the goods excludes carriage and packing. The carriage and packing charge for delivery is variable and dependent upon order weight, size and delivery location. This charge is shown in the ‘Calculate Shipping’ field; once you have entered delivery details and before you are asked to confirm your order. All debit and credit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your debit/credit card refuses authorisation, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order. Once your payment has been successful, we will give you an estimated date of dispatch. We always aim to get items to the customer within 7 working days from point of sale. This is not always possible depending on location and the nature of the order; we will notify the customer to inform on any delay as soon as possible. We make every effort to keep to stated delivery times, however we cannot be held liable for any losses or costs incurred as a result of a failure to meet estimated delivery dates and times.

International Shipping

Delivery prices are quoted for UK mainland addresses only – certain areas of the Highlands and Northern Scotland may attract a surcharge. For delivery fees other than mainland UK please e-mail us at sales@magpies-vintage.co.uk to discuss delivery options. We can ship most of our items internationally. Locations include Europe, USA, Australia, Canada, UAE – Please inquire for shipping costs at sales@magpies-vintage.co.uk we can quote shipping costs to any location. Delivery to non-European countries may result in import duties payable on receipt of the goods. You will be liable for these duties.

Colours

Due to the limitation of browser software and monitors, the colour of each item may vary slightly from that shown on the website.

Damages/shortages

Any shortages or damage to your delivery must be reported to us immediately on delivery. We must have images and a written email within 24hours. Provided that this notice is given, we will collect or replace the goods or at our discretion and issue a full refund.

Availability of stock

All items listed on our website are offered subject to stocks and availability. We make every effort to ensure that the items listed on the website are in stock, however, items may sell out before they have been removed from the website. If for any reason an item is no longer available we will try to offer an alternative product, otherwise we reserve the right to cancel the contract and offer a refund.

Cancellation of Order

Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel an order within 7 days – starting from the day after you take delivery. You have the right to cancel for any reason. If you wish to cancel an order please e-mail us at sales@magpies-vintage.co.uk clearly stating your full details, invoice number and cancellation instructions. To cancel the order you must give us notice in writing within 7 working days starting from the day after you take delivery of the order. Once you have cancelled the order, you have a legal ‘duty of care’ to take good care of the goods. You must return the goods to us at your own expense. Please wait for our confirmation email as to where to return your goods to. If the goods are returned to us within 14 days from the date of our confirmation email; in the original as sold condition with the original packaging then a refund of the costs of goods will be refunded deducting the carriage fees. If it is more convenient to us, we will arrange collection by our couriers; any costs incurred will be deducted from your final refund. We will refund you the full amount paid for the goods, less any costs to collect the goods, within 30 days of receipt of the returned goods.

Privacy statement

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our customers – we will only use information that we have collected about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The information that we collect is necessary for the processing of your order and delivery of your purchases – this includes name, address, phone and e-mail address. We will not send you any unsolicited e-mails. We will not give, sell or swap your details with any third party companies.
